Well back in Oz and dealing with the inevitable flatness that happens after an amazing and jam-packed holiday in Spain and Italy. Daily life has a hard time living up to Madrid,El Prado Museum, the Thyssen Museum, Barcelona,la Sagrada Famiglia, Casa Battlo, Picasso, Granada, Manorolo, Vernazza, Portofino and Genova.

I spent two weeks in Granada studying flamenco in the caves of the Albaicin (the historic Arab quarter of Granada). Granada is in the heart of Andalusia and the duende (spirit) of flamenco. We were very fortunate one night to see a surprise performance from La Moneta. La Moneta is considered to currently be the best flamenco dancer in Andalusia. I was right at the back of a dark theatre but was thrilled that some of my photos came out. She was quintessential Granada flamenco - intense, dramatic and passionate.
